Rare Gem Whole Latte Love (HARLEQUIN/APPALOOSA)

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Light Fawn, Medium Fawn, Light Brown, Dark Silver Grey
AOA# 35589082DOB: 4/18/20187 yrs
CONGRATULATIONS to BREITFELD ALPAKAS on their purchase of Rare Gem Whole Latte Love. He leaves for quarantine in Oregon in March and then off to Canada to establish residency. He will be flown to Europe to his new home in Switzerland thereafter. I'm sure he will add new genetics to their ranch and can't wait to see what he produces. ************************************************************************************************************************** Born as a calico harlequin/appaloosa, Rare Gem Whole Latte Love, has grayed out and become a gorgeous, handsome stud. With perfect conformation and coverage from head to toe on a solid and robust frame, Rare Gem Whole Latte Love is a phenotypically flawless herd sire. He is the unique blending of the Aussie Rockford and Polaris (A Hemingway son), lines with a dense and long staple length. At 18 months he settled his first girl who gave birth to one of the curliest babies I've ever seen!!! The second baby, a male, PBR Clover, an appaloosa (sold) and now to add to his accomplishments, a 2022 female, PBR Charming Cappuccino (sold), was born. Latte wasn't finished yet, as another 2022 breeding gave us a gorgeous harlequin female, PBR Sensational Demitasse. 2022 blessed us again with a gorgeous harlequin appaloosa male, PBR Artesian Macchiato (sold), the last of Latte's offspring in the United States as he has been exported to his new home in Switzerland. Vintage Cashmere U-Taupe-ia, Latte's sire, is a striking appaloosa harlequin male whose heritage boasts appaloosa genetics on both sides of his lineage with Aussie Rockford out of Hannahruh on his sire's side and Chiquita Import on his dam's side. Latte's dam, Bright Water Ranch's Espresso, was a lovely Bay Black female. (We lost her to unknown causes). She was the daughter of VF Yahoo too, a very successful male in the alpaca industry and BMR Sienna, a daughter of Polaris). Espresso had a beautiful bright fleece with excellent crimp, and she displayed a perfect phenotype. Her bloodlines included recognizable names such as Peruvian Hemingway, Polaris, Peruvian Felix and Snowmass Snowmaster's Shiraz and she, herself, was in the top 25% for crimp.

Mfi Pins and Needles

HuacayaOpen (Female)White, Medium Fawn
AOA# 35159070DOB: 1/22/201411 yrs
Anticipation is sometimes better than the actual event. That is NOT the case with this star, who is still in the making. We were anxiously awaiting a pregnant MFI Pins and Needle's arrival and were not disappointed. She is out of an all-time favorite female, Ready to Run, and a male I like so much, MFI Peruvian Cactus Jack. The results are plain to see—outstanding phenotype with an even more impressive evenness to her fleece. I love this blanket's handle; its brightness is something to behold. With the colored pedigree in this female, the breeding choices are wide open. Best of all, she carries the MFI name on both sides of her pedigree!! She is extraordinary as she passes her fine genetics onto her crias. PBR Divine World's Bellagio won in 2020 as an AOA National Show Champion at eight months old!!!! And then again in 2021 in PAOBA! Her sire, MFI Peruvian Cactus Jack, has won reserve champion three times and is in the top 15% for fiber diameter, spin fineness and crimp.MFI Peruvian Cactus Jack, sold in the 2007 Breeder's Choice Auction for $150,000. What makes Jack so unique other than the offspring he is producing? *Perfect phenotype: balanced proportion, erect presence, straight legs, correct bite, gorgeous head, luxurious coverage, rich color, soft handled fleece, tight crimp, tremendous density, long-staple, well-organized bundling, and serious pedigrees with familiar names. Jeronimo S282, Pperuvian Guellerermo, Pperuvian Epifania, and Cperuvian Silvio. Pperuvian Guellermo sired some outstanding progeny on the West Coast; he was unknown until he returned to the United States in 2002. Her dam, MFI Ready to Run, an incredible bundling fawn, is the daughter of Pperuvian Ramona B4394, producing numerous champions for MFI. MFI Ready to Run's pedigree includes alpacas from the heart of the MFI breeding program, MFI Peruvian Jericho, Peruvian Dakotia and NWA, LTD Jean.

Howling Hill’s Conspicuous

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)Light Fawn
AOA# 36142316DOB: 9/15/20214 yrs
WOW… just WOW! We were over the moon when given the opportunity to add this handsomely spotted harlequin boy, Howling Hill’s Conspicuous, aka Spike, to our herd sire line up. No doubt, Spike is striking in color, but take a look at his fleece traits and genetic potential for reproducing, because truly, that is what a breeding pairing is all about! Spike’s Harlequin Appaloosa gene can be traced back to Legend Maker and Black Epic, two of the most prolific Harlequin Appaloosa producers in the US. His sire is none other than Red Granite’s Man of Mystery (formerly known as Pinktus), who now resides at Willow Wind Alpaca Farm in Westcliffe, CO. Man of Mystery is a beautiful representation of a harlequin, and at 127.2 follicles/ square mm in density, he is the densest alpaca biopsied by Ian Watt in the US…and to quote Ian Watt, “Overall, this is the best alpaca I have tested in the US.” To add more to the table, Spike’s dam, ELK Matrix Haley is a Snowmass Matrix daughter, adding more powerhouse genetics and uniformity. Here’s what the judges have had to say about Spike: - Very strong and well balanced - Impressive from his head style throughout his body balance - Incredible amount of fiber across his frame - Fleece opens up cleanly - Good solidity in his fleece - Striking color - Maintaining good softness throughout - Spectacular coloring - I actually heard myself say WOW when the alpaca came in Spike truly has ALL you are looking for in a harlequin appaloosa program- Color and conformation without sacrificing fleece traits!

Description

PBR Sensational Demitasse’s pedigree is second to none, boasting the likes of Jericho Dakotia, Hannahruh, and Peruvian Cactus Jack. Demitasse has black eyeliner, toenails and gums. Her base also points to harlequin. It will be exciting to see her first shearing! Demitasse’s sire, Whole Latte Love is a handsome, well built, conformationally correct, phenotypically flawless herdsire with coverage from head to toe. He was born with calico harlequin/Appaloosa markings, and grayed out as he matured. He has the unique combination of the Aussie Rockford and Polaris (Hemingway son) lines, displaying nice density and staple length. Demitasse’s dam, MFI pins and Needles, is the medium fawn daughter of MFI Peruvian Cactus Jack, who sold in the 2007 Breeder’s Choice auction for $150,000. Like her sire, Demitasse has outstanding, advanced fawn fleece, displaying high amplitude and high frequency in her crimp style, and an excellent phenotype. She consistently passes her fine qualities on to her offspring. PBR Divine World’s Bellagio won an AOA National Championship in 2020 at 8 months of age. He won another Championship in 2021 at PAOBA. We are excited to bring these genetics and outstanding qualities into our program! Demi, one of Latte’s last cria in the US is a harlequin! We couldn’t be happier with this outcome! We can’t wait to see what this little beauty will do for our program! Bred to Xanadu One Singular Sensation, Demi had a big, handsome, white, Summer 2025, male cria
