Alberta Rose’s Chananza was a multiple Champion herdsire we acquired in 2015. He was heavily used in our breeding program for 2 years before passing away on February 14th, 2019. A Supreme Champion in his own right, his progeny inherited positive traits that allowed them to win many awards in return and a Get of Sire title. The Chananza daughters in our breeding programs, notably Dame Allure du DNA and Dame Auréo du DNA, have been gamechangers with their offspring. For that, we are forever grateful to have had the chance to own Chananza has one of our herdsires. Grandcrias of Chananza are still winning great awards in the showings. In our program, his granddaughters Miss Andean Shadow du DNA and Miss Andean Sunrise du DNA cumulated several championships titles and a specialty award for Best Brightness, while in Western Canada, his granddaughter Kalhua of Aurora was awarded Supreme Champion at the Alpaca Spring Show 2022. These 3 multi-champion females share somethings else in common: on their paternal side, they are granddaughters of Xanadu P. Resolute. A winning combination.

After producing 9 crias (7 of which are females), we have decided to retire Ariva from our breeding program to make room for our next generation of females. Ariva is a very robust female, never had issues with her health or behavior. I could say the same for her offspring. In her current condition, I believe she could still produce a few crias for a new owner. She might be coming from “old” lines, but this girl has been such a reliable producer! Her 2023 cria, Noble Altitude du DNA, is winning many championships in shows, and her daughters/granddaughters play a valuable role in our breeding program. Ariva is sired by MMR Marcoyo, a multi-champion that sired many champions (including Futurity & National champion). He was ahead of his time! Her dam descends from Peruvian Hemingway. Although our herd size is back to what we once maintained, the new responsibilities of running our manufacturing facility require us to downsize a bit... We are therefore motivated to sell some animals and will consider respectable offers on selected individuals; Ariva is one of them.
