West Penn is proud to announce our purchase of 4 Time Champion, Irish Meadows' Jaxon at the 2016 Royal Progeny sale and excited for his future offspring here at West Penn Alpacas. Jaxon debuted in the show ring this past spring and he did not disappoint, pulling down multiple blue ribbons and champion banners at a very young age! Jaxon has beautiful true black fleece, with lots of crimp, bundling, density, buttery softness and consistency. In addition, Jaxon has a gorgeous head and a nice boxy frame that tops excellent conformation. Jaxon is a Jacob Black son, a 19 time halter champion black herdsire and CLOSED TO OUTSIDE BREEDINGS. Jacob Black has had stellar results in his offspring in terms of show ring excellence and reproductive traits, and it seems Jaxon has those qualities as well. We are excited to have him here at West Penn and look to offer these genetics to others looking for that perfect True Black male! Alpaca Coat Color Test Results are EE aa

Description

HHFF Katnip DOB: July 15, 2023 Color: Dark Brown Registry #: 36273638 Sire: Irish Meadows’ Peruvian Knight Rider (Avalon’s Jacob Black × Avalon’s Amber Rose) Dam: HHFF KitKat (KBA’s Red Ryder × LAOO Peruvian Kits Kaboodle) Breeder: Holdfast Farms Current Owner: Sonny Robins Alpacas – Waynesville, OH HHFF Katnip is a striking dark brown female with a strong frame, perfect conformation, and the confident presence of her champion lineage. She’s the daughter of Irish Meadows’ Peruvian Knight Rider, a direct son of Avalon’s Jacob Black—one of the most influential black sires in the North American alpaca industry—and HHFF KitKat, a proven foundation dam out of KBA’s Red Ryder. Katnip’s fleece is exceptionally fine, with strong crimp definition, brightness, and density uncommon for her age. Her rich coloration and uniformity carry through from her mother’s Red Ryder genetics, while her sire contributes the signature Jacob Black depth, luster, and fiber architecture that dominate in dark color breeding programs. She represents an exciting blend of elite black and color genetics, with the potential to produce stunning dark or modern grey offspring. Katnip’s temperament is curious yet composed—a young female who turns heads in the pasture and promises a bright future in both show and breeding arenas.
